a trip to the doctor

My Sophie girl is SIX months old! Where has the time gone? Don't mind my naked baby pictures...it was a crazy morning. I'm actually surprised I managed to get any pictures at all. At one point during our appointment, Sophie was screaming bloody murder and poor Noah was crouched in the corner with his hands over his ears crying too. Looking back, it's funny. :) But I'm so happy she's our healthy girl! She's 15 pounds now, around the 60th percentile for weight and around the 70th percentile for height.

Sophie has yet to roll over (I think it's because she's so content to just lay...), but she's almost sitting up. We just started rice cereal and bananas, and she's had one round of sweet potatoes.

She ADORES Noah! I can't wait to see them playing together in a few months.
Noah trying to keep sister happy...it didn't last long...
Also, I have no idea why he has an Elmo sticker on his back

Noah kept opening the door and saying, "Doctoooor Shaaarrrp, where are youuuu?"

Sophie Grace, we love you so so much! You are such a wonderful blessing to our lives!

weekend happenings

We've had a fun fun weekend!  On Saturday I got to go to our annual Talbot wives tea. I absolutely LOVE my friends from Talbot wives. It's sooo good to have friends who know exactly what it's like to have a hubby in school. Annnd a lot of them are young moms! I've been looking forward to the tea for months...literally. The lady who hosts us is practically a professional. :)

Brooke and I in our tea hats that Jenny let us borrow.
Side note: Brooke is leaving me soon and I'm totally depressed about it.
 Ali and I! :)
Ali, Courtlandt, and Nakia-such lovely ladies!

 Our table

Ok, I was totally fascinated with the sugar cubes.
The little flowers float to the top after the sugar melts...who does that?!?!?!

Haylee and Danielle

 Loving the tea cups!

 Pretty in coral :)

Jenny, Sarah (the best hair dresser in the world), and Tiffany (who is about to give birth any second...but still looking fabulous of course!)

After the tea Andrew and I just relaxed for a bit and then we took the kids to a ministry event. The theme was "Route 66" they had a bunch of old cars and then a presentation about Route 66 and the 66 books of the Bible. We didn't get to stay for all of it, but it was super fun! And I didn't have to make dinner, which is always a plus! :)
Noah and daddy. Noah was totally pumped about seeing the old cars.

This was our favorite..such a pretty color!

spring break? maybe next year...

Andrew started class again this week...boo!  Our "spring break" was busy to say the least. Lots of projects. But we've started off the week feeling organized and caught up on projects, which is nice.

I tried a new thing last week-cooking and freezing lots and lots of meals! I used a website called "once a month mom" (thank you pinterest for the inspiration) to cook and prepare healthy food. We used the whole foods menu.  I'm not going to lie...it was a LOT. I'm sure I'll feel good about it in a couple of weeks when I'm not having to cook, but for now, I never want to cook again. :) Luckily, I had my wonderful hubby who helped me.

All my veggies after my shopping trip

"All this broccoli looks like Fangorn Forest!" -Andrew

Our chopping night...i love all the healthy colors!

My big helper :)

The end result! That's a lot of food.

In other news...LOOK WHO CAME TO VISIT! I was beyond thrilled to spend time with my sweet friend Maegan! Hutch and Maegan are very dear to my heart. What a wonderful and unexpected blessing!

...and now for a bunch of random stuff...

 Loving bananas :)

I finally updated Noah and Sophie's picture wall...long overdue!

The babes loved spending extra time with daddy. It was so nice having him home!

 Enjoying the spring day :)

I love that they adore each other!

 Discovering the grass

Noah and his best friend Moses playing together.
I think we have every major Bible character living in our complex... :)

These are the best days!

bye bye paci, hello big boy!

We did it! We have taken the plunge. Noah gave up his paci this week. He has done so great! We took him to Toys R Us and let him pick out one toy. The deal was though, that when he got his toy, he had to give his paci to the checkout lady. It worked! I'm so glad we did it this way because he has asked me about a bazillion times where they are.  It's nice he can be mad at the lady at the store instead of us. :) I had to document this moment. It was a BIG deal for him. :)

 One last loving look!

Sissy's like, "I still have mine!" haha

happy easter jedi

The spring cleaning continues! But I didn't want Easter to get too far away from me to post pictures. Noah has started calling everyone and everything "jedi." I have no idea why. But it's pretty hilarious. So on Easter he kept saying, "Happy Easter jedi!" Andrew says he's giving everyone the greatest compliment there ever was.

A couple in the complex hid over a hundred eggs for the kids to find! How nice are they?!
Noah was loving it!

My sweet babies!!

Love those chubby thighs!

Such a happy happy girl!

Lunch is served!

Joshua and Brooke :)

Love her little Easter outfit!

getting ready for easter!

We've been getting ready for Easter the last couple of days. We're having our dear neighbors over for lunch so I've been busy cooking and cleaning! This is my first ever Easter meal.  I feel like such and adult. :)

Noah LOVES to vacuum. Can you believe it? I want to document this behavior so I can refer to it when he's a teenager. :) And I love how Sophie is watching him like a hawk.

Pretty Easter table in process :)

My very first carrot cake! I'm no pro, but I'm pretty proud of this little baby. I hope it tastes good.

Noah and daddy put all of Noah's "friends" on his bed tonight. Does he have enough stuffed animals?!

Noah's newest and greatest friend...the angry bird! He loves playing angry birds on our phones.
Thanks Biya for the presents!

play time before bed. :) i love my boys!

Happy Easter! He is risen indeed!
