iphone days

Who has time to take pictures with a real camera? Definitely not me, most of the time anyway. :) That's why I love my phone. :) The pictures aren't the greatest quality, but something is better than nothing! Right?! We've been taking it pretty easy this week. We've got BIG plans for next week, so we're resting up. :)

what we've been up to

I feel like it's been an eternity since the last time I did a blog post. We have been so blessed to have my in-laws visiting. Lisa just left yesterday. But we did lots and lots of fun things while she and Eddy were here. And then when Eddy left, we all got sick. Starting with Noah, then me, and now Andrew. We've been praying that Sophie is spared this virus...it is not fun. But here are some fun pictures from the visit!

After our second trip to the beach, Noah got strep. So we didn't do much after that. BUT we did get Sophie her first swim suit. I could just eat her up!

And we managed to shoot spider webs of course.

Mimi and Papa are here! Which means it's party time! :) I feel like I NEVER do anything fun unless someone is visiting. Probably because it's too crazy to go out with the kids by myself. Maybe one day I'll be brave enough to venture out on my own...maybe not...lol. We spent one morning at Crystal Cove.  First we ate, then we played. It was a blast! Noah is my little explorer and he was LOVING the beach!

a trip to the doctor

My Sophie girl is SIX months old! Where has the time gone? Don't mind my naked baby pictures...it was a crazy morning. I'm actually surprised I managed to get any pictures at all. At one point during our appointment, Sophie was screaming bloody murder and poor Noah was crouched in the corner with his hands over his ears crying too. Looking back, it's funny. :) But I'm so happy she's our healthy girl! She's 15 pounds now, around the 60th percentile for weight and around the 70th percentile for height. 

 Sophie has yet to roll over (I think it's because she's so content to just lay...), but she's almost sitting up. We just started rice cereal and bananas, and she's had one round of sweet potatoes.


She ADORES Noah! I can't wait to see them playing together in a few months.

weekend happenings

We've had a fun fun weekend!  On Saturday I got to go to our annual Talbot wives tea. I absolutely LOVE my friends from Talbot wives. It's sooo good to have friends who know exactly what it's like to have a hubby in school. Annnd a lot of them are young moms! I've been looking forward to the tea for months...literally. The lady who hosts us is practically a professional. :)

 After the tea Andrew and I just relaxed for a bit and then we took the kids to a ministry event. The theme was "Route 66" they had a bunch of old cars and then a presentation about Route 66 and the 66 books of the Bible. We didn't get to stay for all of it, but it was super fun! And I didn't have to make dinner, which is always a plus! :)
